USAF Museum Series: Part 7

The newest addition to the museum is perhaps one of the most exciting. Standing underneath ICBMs that have guarded our country for decades is both a humbling and impressive experience.


Some of our earliest missile designs

Seven different missiles, including the
Minuteman III that's still in service

Ten warheads were carried by one Peacekeeper, each could destroy a city

Titan II ICBMs carried a warhead like the Mark 53 hydrogen bomb

Thanks for taking the time to visit the museum with me via the photos in the series. I'll be sure and add new posts when I next get a chance to visit to include the Presidential Gallery now that SAM 26000 is back on display.
