An animated history of aviation

While this is simply a marketing video for the Aviation Science program at Utah Valley University, you can't deny that it does an incredible job lifting aviation's history off the pages of books. Hope you enjoy it if you haven't already seen it elsewhere on the web.

As for me, still no flying for the near future. We're undergoing some major restructuring and changes at work and I think it's in my best interest to limit the flying expenditures until everything is a bit more stable. Hope you're all doing well!

  1. That WAS cool. But I'm a little disappointed. No Glen Curtiss? No breaking of the sound barrier? Me-262? I know, I'm nitpicking.

Best wishes riding out the storm. Obviously, the company situation has been big news here, but I can't even imagine what the long term ramifications are.

  2. Thanks, Chris. Hard to predict exactly what'll happen at this point.

I agree - they definitely missed some stuff in the video. Still... it's neat!

  3. Pretty cool video. Missed some milestones but overall fun to watch.

Hang in there Steve, sometimes you just have to ride it out.

  4. Appreciate your being brave enough to list your goals and cross them off - right on your blog! Good incentive. Congrats on your wedding, sorry I've been remiss on reading and missed that. Hope your employment situation becomes stable and you can continue expanding your flying experiences. Your many aircraft types points out that owning reduces such opportunities.
    Thanks for sharing the video.
